Trim the wick: Always trim your wick to 5-6mm before every light. This prevents the flame from getting too large, reduces soot, and keeps the burn clean.

Avoid "tunneling": During the first burn, let the candle burn until the melted wax pool reaches all the way to the edges of the jar. This creates a "memory ring" that helps it burn evenly in the future.

Watch the clock: Try not to burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. This prevents the glass from overheating and the wick from "mushrooming."

Mind the breeze: Keep your candle away from drafts, open windows, or air vents. Moving air causes uneven, flickering flames and wasted wax.

Know when to stop: Stop burning the candle when there is about 1cm of wax left at the bottom. This prevents the jar from getting too hot and potentially cracking.
